Is sex best in the morning? Are there certain times, which increase intimacy? Many know sex can lower stress, boost immunity, burn calories, improve heart health, boost self-esteem, increase intimacy, and promote a better night sleep. However, is sex in the morning better?
Jane Greer, an American marital therapist, said, “Mornings are the perfect times to indulge because you’ll probably be in a rush, and the heart-pounding adrenaline of spontaneous sex will intensify the entire experience.”
In addition, Dr. Debby Herbenick, an American research scientist and author of ‘Because It Feels Goods,’ found couples who made love in the morning reported feeling happier throughout the day. Tests revealed the benefits went beyond better mental health. Couples who engaged in some kind of sexual stimulation with their partners also had stronger immune systems. Meanwhile, when it reaches the climax or orgasm, the body releases chemicals that increase the amount of estrogen. These hormones work to improve tone and texture of your skin and hair.
Since morning sex will usually mean a “quickie,” it is probably not the best time to introduce sex toys as an enhancement. Many people (mostly men) have an assumption women use sex toys as a replacement, but that it is not case. Sex toys are not meant to replace, but to enhance. However, whether or not sex toys are introduced, sex should be spontaneous and enjoyable.
Therefore, try a position that requires little to no effort: spooning. “While you’re facing away from your guy, part your legs and guide him inside you,” says New York City-based sex and marital therapist Jane Greer, Ph.D. “His hands will be free to roam all of your hot spots, and he can whisper in your ear.”
Morning sex increases spontaneity, but couples also need romance and intimacy. Romance, intimacy, and foreplay are “thrown out” when morning sex is about a “quickie.” Therefore, couples need to focus on his/her partner’s “hot spots.” Does your partner want to be kissed or touched in that certain spot, favor a certain position, or like to talk dirty? Hone in on those things that will make sex most enjoyable for both of you because giving your partner a kiss and generating oxytocin means you’ll both feel a closer bond.”
